Using Databases & Periodicals

You have access to a number of databases that cover a wide variety of subjects and types of materials. You can use specific databases to get background information on the American Dream, inspect the topic through academic journals and even read how it has been written about locally in newspapers.

Background Information

Background information on the American Dream will help you become familiar with the basic facts and history of this topic and literary theme. Search for the American Dream in the following database:

Once you have the basics facts and history around a particular topic you might want to look for in-depth research. Academic journal articles are used by scholars and researchers to publish their latest findings.
