Experience is an important factor in the job search. Check with departments on campus if there are any job opportunities so that you can start building up your resume. If you are in the Federal Work Study program, check here for open positions.
The Los Angeles City College Career & Job Development Center is located in the Student Services Building, 2nd Floor. The following are the hours of operation.
Regular Career Center Hours:
Monday: 10am - 4pm
Tuesday: 2pm - 4pm
Wednesday: 10am - 4pm
Thursday: 2pm - 4pm
The Career Center will be closed on school holidays. These hours are subject to change.

The MLK Jr. Library has a number of eBooks (electronic books) focusing on different career paths. Use the Title search to find these. For example "Careers in Education", "Careers in Nursing", "Careers in Film", etc.

Below are a few examples and you can search the eBook collection for more. If you would like to borrow a print book from the library, search our print book catalog or ask a librarian for help.
