Welcome to MLK Jr. Library at Los Angeles City College!

The MLK Jr. Library at LACC is committed to provide all members of the LACC community with equitable access to library information and services.

All publicly available computers, including library classrooms 123 and 329, have the JAWS and ZoomText software. JAWS (Job Access With Speech) will read the text on a computer screen to a student. ZoomText allows students to magnify the text on computer screens and adjust other display features such as color.

• First Floor:
  • LifeStyle HD desktop video magnifiers(CCTV). The LifeStyle enables a student to place physical reading material on a tray to be magnified on a screen for easier reading.
• Second Floor:
  •  We have 8 accessible computer stations.
    • 2 stations have height adjustable tables.
    • 1 station is a table at standing height.
  • LifeStyle HD desktop video magnifiers(CCTV).
• Third Floor:
  • LifeStyle HD desktop video magnifiers(CCTV).

The Library has a large collection of electronic resources available and accessible in multiple formats.

If a patron cannot fully access any library resources, please contact the library by email mlklibrary@lacitycollege.edu or by phone 323-953-4000 ext. 2406 to schedule an appointment with a librarian. Please include the nature of the accessibility issue, the location of the material with which you are having difficulty, and your contact information so that we can deliver the material to you in an alternate, accessible format and/or make the necessary improvements to make the information accessible.
